Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) fails to disappoint once again, the actor/musician dropped his first single for his upcoming and long awaited album "Awaken, My Love" . With the release of his new single "Me and Your Mama" came the announcement of his new album which will be released December 2nd. Glover has more or less disappeared off the face of the music world. People thought that he might not have wanted to continue this part of his career. His 3-day music festival in September, Pharos, which took place in California, told us differently.
This single is unlike anything we have seen from Donald Glover before. It gives you a futuristic feeling, and just puts you in a good, sort of nostalgic mood. If this is just a preview of what the entire album is going to be, then this is what is going to put Childish Gambino on the map. People will definitely start to take him seriously as a musician after "Awaken my Love" comes out. I don't think anyone is prepared for what is to come from Glover. I'm excited to see him grow as a musician and how its going to affect everyone who comes in contact with this album.
