Tay Jardine & Company come back in Technicolor as Sainte

We Are The In Crowd fans, rejoice! 3 out of 5 members have reunited during the band’s hiatus to create a new band, Sainte. While more poppy than their usual sound, fans on the band won't find anything too alien about their single, “Technicolor”. It takes on an electro-pop-rock sound with Tay Jardine’s signature leading vocals with a little Kelly Clarkson/Hayley Williams powerhouse flair.
Sainte is also helping set the trend in the scene’s recent vintage nostalgia (see: As It Is’ “Okay” theme) in their music video. It begins in black-and-white and interchanges with the bright colors to represent the idea of a blossoming love at full brightness, along with cute outfits, makeup, and backdrops that all add to the experience. This could all be a foreshadowing for what’s to come from Tay, Cameron Hurley, and Mike Ferri.
The song itself has a great beat and massive singalong potential. With a futuristic twinkle as it starts, the lyrics bring a bittersweet meaning with a sureness of her own emotions while wanting that reassurance that her love is being reciprocated while in this dream-like state. It’s a new-transitioning-love tune at its finest.
Watch out for Sainte as they’re likely to support some of their old friends with their fascinating new direction as they take on the music world once more. We at Acid Wash wish them the best!
