The trees are changing colors, and the days are getting shorter, colder. Fall is slowly creeping up on us and I am so pumped.

One of the biggest things in fall fashion – and fashion in general – are ripped jeans. (Of any style!) Mom jeans, skinny jeans, boot-cut, boyfriend.

They can range in price anywhere from $10.00 to $100.00! But no need to fear, Alanna is here! Today I'm coming to you with the latest scoop on all things jean.

I’m always look for a cheaper route to things. Almost anything you see on the internet can be DIY-ed.

Keep reading to find how to make your own DIY ripped jeans.

What you will need -

Scissors, Markers, Jean, Paperclips

Step 1.

The first thing you want to do is decide what area you want to place your rip. After you’ve decided, you then want to come in with your marker and draw three lines.

Step 2.

Then, you want to take your scissors and cut on the previously drawn lines.

Step 3.

After you've cut the lines you will already see loose white threads falling out. You just want to pull all of those out.

Step 4.

Then, you want to turn your slit around. (inside-out) You will then see the weaving of your jeans. (This part is tedious)

Next, you want to take your tweezers or a paperclip and pull on the white threads.

Step 5.

Once you’ve pulled out most of the white threads you’re going to be left with loose dark threads.

You should be able to easily pull all of these out.

Step 6.

After pulling out all of the loose dark threads, you should end up with something like this.

You then want to put your jeans in the washing machine and let it work its magic.

Step 7.

Then, BAM! You’re done! You can repeat this process as many times as you like, and create as many holes as you like.

Ripped jeans have become so immensely popular because of their versatility.

They can be worn in any way!

You can wear them casually with a nice tee and some cool sneakers

Or you can dress them up with a nice tunic and a blazer.

Jeans look good on any body type, so never be afraid to rock your jeans!
