Blur

By Maddie Bryann

When I envision my future all I see is uncertainty.

I see vague scribbles of x-rays and journals

And paintings and hearts and so much more

To the point that my mind cannot keep up.

All I see are blurs of possible career choices

And the fear of actually choosing one.

I see all the things that I want in life

And what could possibly be.

I see a vision of colors and milestones

I imagine a peach colored sunset,

A college diploma,

The words “I do” being spoken by my lover,

And many other things that I have daydreamed about for years.

No one knows what their future will look like

And I try to not let the worry consume me.

I know I have a future,

But I just cannot see it right now.

Always remember: that is completely okay.
