10 Future Tours to Watch Out For

With all the great new music released this year, it’s once again time to start thinking about buying concert tickets again. This year will begin wrapping up with some new beginnings, an ending, and new creative fields with some of these artists.

1. Sleeping With Sirens’ End The Madness! Tour with State Champs, Tonight Alive, and Waterparks

Why You Should Go: Besides the stacked lineup, SWS has a killer VIP package, Tonight Alive and Waterparks will have some new songs in their performance repertoire to show off, State Champs is always amazing live, and if the name of the tour is telling of the end of their Madness era, you are not going to want to miss out on this mad night of music.

2. Switchfoot’s Looking for America Tour with Relient K

Why You Should Go: Both bands are touring in support of their new albums, “Where The Light Shines Through” and “Air For Free”, respectively, but you can definitely expect some older surprises from them that will cause nostalgia. Switchfoot also likes to do small, post-concert concerts in coffee shops local to the venue, if you feel like you’re not quite done with the night yet.

3. Yellowcard’s Final World Tour

Why You Should Go: Last. Yellowcard. Tour. Ever. (Unless you’re holding out hope for an eventual reunion tour like I already am.) While we wait for their self-titled last album, you can also look forward to crowdsurfing to “Ocean Avenue” or screaming along to “Only One” one last time. Just bring tissues and some old friends and go back in time for a little bit before the end.

4. Troye Sivan’s Suburbia Tour

Why You Should Go: The Australian popstar will be making his second round of touring, which means we’ll get to hear some songs we missed the first time around (I’m holding out hope for “Blue”) and maybe surprises in the form of special guests or new songs.

5. The Summer Set’s Made for You Tour with William Beckett and Hudson Thames

Why You Should Go: This tour is especially unique because the band is going to places they usually don’t get out to and play songs they haven’t done in a long time, all because of the way fans voted online. The venues are especially intimate this time and The Academy Is’ former frontman-turned-solo-artist and friend of TSS, William Beckett will be joining them and very likely spinning some new stuff (but don’t worry, you’ll still hear “About a Girl”).

6. Good Charlotte’s Youth Authority Tour with The Story So Far

Why You Should Go: It’s going to be a giant night of pop-punk. You’ll get to hear new and old GC, along with the new school, The Story So Far, and depending what city you’re in, you could get any combination of Hit the Lights, MDDN-managed Big Jesus, or Four Year Strong. If you haven’t experienced the hysteria of a GC show, now would be a great time to do so.

7. Simple Plan’s Taking One For the Team Tour

Why You Should Go: If you’ve gotten around to listening to their newest release, “Taking One for the Team”, you’ll know that they’ve shaken up some of their songs, but also are still the mainstays you remember them to be. They haven’t toured the States in quite sometime (still jealous of the Canadian supports, All Time Low and PVRIS) and with their VIP pizza parties and bouncy sing-alongs, it looks like the guys are back and better than ever.

8. Shawn Mendes’ Illuminate Tour

Why You Should Go: A while has passed since his first release and through his new music, Shawn has shown that he’s grown up a bit with deeper themes, very well-written lyrics and John Mayer-esque guitar parts. With bigger venues and the production value seen at his sold-out Madison Square Garden show, the 18-year-old should have no problem selling out the tour and gathering old and new fans alike to his new tunes.

9. Against the Current’s In Our Bones Tour with Beach Weather and CRUISR

Why You Should Go: ATC really found their footing with the debut album and Warped tour and you know they’re likely to play some awesome covers too. Beach Weather and CRUISR are also picking up steam with every passing support tour they do, so you’re in for a treat and will probably find a new favorite in them.

10. Sum 41’s Don’t Call It A Sum-Back Tour with As It Is and Senses Fail

Why You Should Go: Sum 41’s newest songs, “Faking My Own Death” and “War” have been absolutely killer, which means “13 Voices” is shaping up to be great. Don’t call it a sum-back, but it is a major comeback after the adversity they’ve faced throughout their career. As It Is has also been hinting at new music for the past couple weeks now and debuted their new logo with the tour announcement, so they’ll have some new tricks up their collective sleeve on this tour.

Let us know what tours you’re excited for and hope to see you at a show!
